The boys have been gone and that’s because Lucas decided to get sick and then cough on Everett. But there’s always wisdom in suffering if you’re lucky, and this is your lucky day because this week we reflect on sickness, health, the slow grinding march of time, and how to power through a tummy ache.

These books WILL probably turn you gay if you read them, so you need to get your copies now from the library. Except for some of the ones on Everett’s list. You’ll know it when we get there.

If taste makes the man, taste can also make him gay. This week the boys dive into the soundtrack to homosexuality-- the songs, albums, and concepts that made us do that wendy williams head bop thing as young queerlings. From Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne to Anohni and Flyleaf, our picks for music that turned us gay might just turn you gay, too. And if they don’t, they should.

Sometimes a movie can open your eyes to the beauty of the world. It can show you something you’d never imagined, open windows onto experiences you’d never dreamed possible. But other times, movies will reveal to you that YOU are GAY. You are SO GAY and there’s NO going back. This week the boys talk over gay awakenings in film; classics, cult classics, camp, and cultural touchstones that told us we, your hosts, are irretrievably gay.

This week on Let’s Get Bread, we’re talking about getting fired, the fantasy of quitting before you get laid off, and the very real dream of having enough money that employment becomes more of a fun suggestion than a requirement.
